This Saint Brendan of the Ninth Wave altar cloth and celebrant’s scarf was woven by Will for use at home with our Eucharist Service from the Saint Brendan’s Missal. (Unfortunately, the purple in the design came out blue in the photos, but you can imagine!) Sometimes we actually weave things for ourselves!

We at Ephods & Pomegranates are both graduates of The School of Theology here in Sewanee (Glyn in 1992, Will in 1981.) Now that we have retired back to the Holy Mountain, one focus of our handweaving is to craft Eucharistic Stoles for Clergy (and for Seminarians in the process of becoming Clergy.) And as a ministry to Seminarians, we do offer a Seminarian Discount.
Our stoles are available at Taylor’s Mercantile, at the foot of University Avenue in Sewanee, and here at our Weaving Studio in Monteagle. Soon they will also be available on our Handmade at Amazon store.
These stoles are currently on display and for sale at Taylor’s Mercantile in Sewanee.
Many of these stoles are one-of-a-kind. Several are available in matched sets as well as individual, and all can be special ordered if not in stock. Seminarians, be sure to ask for your 10% discount. Note our Rainbow Marriage Equality Stoles.

Just in time for the DuBose Lectures at Sewanee, we are proud to offer Glyn’s “God’s Eye” collection of handwoven stoles. These are available at our retail outlet, Taylor’s Mercantile in Sewanee, as well as through this website.
The stoles are all woven from 100% cotton, but we recommend dry cleaning. They are 6″ wide by 8′ feet long, for a full, rich presentation.
Price: $140.00 each.

Our first full line of liturgical season stoles is named for the motto of the School of Theology — “Go Make Disciples”. Designed and woven by Glyn, these stoles will see you through an entire year of services and are versatile enough for everyday or festive occasions. They measure approximately 5.5″ x 8’each and are made of 100% mercerized cotton. Although colorfast, we recommend dry cleaning as needed.
Prices: $125.00 each or $500.00 for the set of five.
